About
Skipper and mechanic, he was sailing since the age of 20, starting from the Baie de Somme on other people's boats. Very quickly he was able to acquire small sailing boats to be restored. He built his red monohull Arîa with his own hands from 1985 to 1991 in a hangar in Abbeville. Northern Europe, Scotland, Ireland, Norway, and Spain, he relished ocean sailing before entering the solo English Transat in 2000. Coming in 3rd after the professionals, he then discovered multihulls. The chance of life worked in his favour. After meeting the former owner of a foiler trimaran, he decided to race the English Transat with PiR2, to optimise the machine, and to race with the Multi50s before embarking on the Route du Rhum in 2014! Since then, he has been living in Guadeloupe !

The crowds in Saint-Malo, the sailing enthusiasts, leaving the cold, rough English Channel, hunching to pass the Bay of Biscay, peeling off layers of fleece and oilskins, remaining patient to catch the trade winds, arriving in the warm weather, and being heartily welcomed by the people of Guadeloupe where I have been living since 2017 !
