About
Fabio Gennari has been a passionate amateur sailor since childhood, and learned to sail in his home city of Marseille. He participated in his first regattas on the Mediterranean on a Farr 40 in the IRC circuit. Signing up to several student races, he began to explore Brittany and gradually developed an interest in ocean racing. In 2018, alongside his career as an administrative judge, he spent a year training on the Class 40 circuit in La Trinité-sur-Mer, before returning to train in Marseille with the objective of participating in the next Route du Rhum in 2022. After several years participating in crew regattas on the Mediterranean, at the age of 30 Fabio is tackling a trans-Atlantic solo race. He's been preparing his project at the Société Nautique de Marseille's Ocean Racing Center.
