Since 13h00 (local time in Guadeloupe), the finish line of the 12th edition of the Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe is officially closed. The sailors who will reach the butterfly island will not appear in the official race ranking. 6 sailors in the Rhum Mono category are currently still at sea: Guy Pronier (Terranimo), Fabio Gennari (Bella Donna - Race For Pure Ocean), Remy Gerin (Faiaoahe), Arnaud Pennarun (Viabilis - Pen Duick III & ACH pour les enfants de Robert Debré), Daniel Écalard (SOS Pare-Brise +), Jean-Sébastien Biard (JSB Déménagements).

To remember

  • 103 boats arrived in Pointe-à-Pitre on time: 8 Ultim 32/23, 6 Ocean Fifty, 34 IMOCA, 37 Class40, 12 Rhum Multi and 6 Rhum Mono.

  • Daniel Écalard (SOS Pare-Brise +) in the Rhum Mono announced his withdrawal to the race management on 1st December and diverted to Martinique.

  • Guy Pronier (Terranimo) is due to arrive in Pointe-à-Pitre at 15h30 (Guadeloupe time) today.

We wish good wind to the 6 competitors still at sea, we will welcome them until Friday.

This edition was a real epic that kept all its promises, an edition of all records. Thank you to all those who participated at sea and on land and who contributed to making this mythical race a success.
